OldSongsAltamont, New York Old Songs is a family-friendly festival of folk, traditional, Celtic and world music and dance, known for its relaxed atmosphere, interactive sessions and workshops, hands-on experience and participatory nature. In addition to three concerts there are 120 daytime workshops given by performers. Also featured are a juried craft show, food and instrument vendors, and a well-run children's activity area. SAVI has been a part of Old Songs Festival for 25 years. While adapting to the changing world of folk and acoustic music, SAVI is there to support Old Songs Inc. in their dedication to keeping traditional music and dance alive through the presentation of festivals, concerts and dances. The 27th annual Old Songs Festival was held June 22, 23 & 24, 2007 at the Altamont Fairgrounds, Altamont , NY.
