TheMandalayBay
Convention Center
Las Vegas, Nevada
Opened: January 2003
System design, engineering, fabrication and installation supervision for the
audio, video, broadcast, MATV and communications systems.
The new Mandalay Bay Convention Center with over 2 million square feet of exhibit
and meeting space is the 5th largest convention facility in the U.S. It contains over
90 individual meeting/exhibit spaces.
SAVI designed a 92 zone sound system developed around 4 Media Matrix NT Mainframes.
All system signal transport is via Ethernet- CobraNET switch fiber network. Amplifier
control via Nexsys is also enabled over the systems' four CobraNET switched fiber
networks. A fifth network provides a dedicated A/V-LAN for exclusive control and monitoring
of the facility's Media Matrix audio, video routing, amplifier control and Web enabled
AMX touch-screen control system.
SAVI also designed and provided the facility's MATV and Broadcast cabling systems.
